I bought Osisko when it became a fully-funded pre-production sweet spot (PPSS) play. The Windfall Lake gold project is a world-class deposit and Gold Fields, a major producer, had bought in as partner and operator. That paid for construction and put all the work on Gold Fields' shoulders. The only missing ingredient to "officially" enter the PPSS was final permitting. In this case and place, that didn't seem likely to be a problem. Plus, there was always the chance that Gold Fields could take Osisko over to have 100% of the project—and that's what just happened. The offer is for cash and no one else is likely to step up with a better offer (to become Gold Fields' minority partner), so I went ahead and booked the win.
