As per yesterday's Speculator's Digest post, no, there's no golden asteroid about to make everyone on earth a billionaire. Nor is there one to take the price of gold to zero. It's amazing than an idea this silly can spread so far, but that's the way it is in the Information Age. Which is not to say there's nothing we can do. Falsehood and error should be opposed with truth and reason at every opportunity. Thanks to the folks at Kitco for giving me a chance to do so.
